At KeHE®, we’re proud to spotlight team members who’ve grown with us over the years. Maire De La Rosa, Supply Chain Manager out of Naperville, IL, has been with KeHE for 22 years and has seen the company evolve firsthand. Along the way, she’s built strong partnerships across teams, stepped into new challenges, and found meaning in both the work and the people she works with.
Q: What inspired you to join KeHE, and what was your first impression of the company?
A: I had heard great things about KeHE. My first impression of the company was that this was a great place to be. Working and learning about food has helped me make healthier choices.
Q: How has your role evolved during your time at KeHE, and what lessons have you learned along the way?
A: Working cross-functionally with other departments has helped me see how each department impacts the other. Starting from the time an item is set up to when the product lands in the warehouse. A lesson that I have learned is that all departments’ input is crucial to be successful.
Q: Can you share a standout memory or experience at KeHE that holds a special meaning for you?
A: In my 20+ years here at KeHE, many memories hold special meaning, but a standout memory is getting to know Jerry Kehe and seeing his passion and love for people and the importance of serving and giving back to the community.
Q: What opportunities have helped you grow personally and professionally during your time at KeHE?
A: Being able to participate in some of the serving opportunities has helped me stay humble and realize how fortunate I am, and to be able to provide for my family.
Q: What changes at KeHE have made the biggest impact on you, your work, or the company culture?
A: The growth of the company over the years has allowed me to work with and learn from many great people. As a KeHE owner, it has been wonderful to experience how ESOP influences our team’s decisions and culture.
Q: How have your colleagues and the KeHE community shaped your experience?
A: Having leaders who believe in me has pushed me to grow. Watching their own success has helped me come out of my comfort zone, learn from them, and bring the best of me to work.
