Q: What brought you to KeHE? How long have you been with the company?

A: I was in the customer service field for five years, and I was looking for a change in my young career when I saw an ad in the newspaper that Nature’s Best was hiring Warehouse Associates, Clerks, etc., with OT and no experience needed. I came to KeHE when they purchased Nature’s Best back in 2015, and I have now been with KeHE for 19 years.

Q: Tell us a little about your role at KeHE and how it’s changed over the years.

A: I’m the Transportation Manager here in Phoenix, and I manage about 30 Professional Truck Drivers and my amazing staff of one Supervisor and three Clerks. My role has changed over the years. A couple of years ago I oversaw Routing and Dispatch Operations in Chino. Since I’ve moved to Phoenix, I’ve taken on a bigger role in running my own facility.

Q: How has KeHE fostered your growth within the company?

A: KeHE has supported my development in so many ways. I was able to be a part of a Servant Leadership Training in Chino, and I got the opportunity to be in Relate Training with Paul Reichert. Now, I get to be a part of an amazing program and group called Rising Stars. I get to meet and work with our future leaders here at KeHE.

Q: What are some of the biggest changes you’ve seen during your tenure with KeHE?

A: Growth. It has been amazing to see how far KeHE has grown over the years, and it’s still growing. I’ve also seen a lot more diversity here than I’ve ever seen before. It’s great that KeHE promotes diversity and inclusion in the workplace, which makes it such a great place to work.

Q: During your time with KeHE, what milestones are you most proud to have been a part of?

A: A couple of major milestones in my career here at KeHE include receiving the High Gear Award at the Operations Conference. I was also invited by our Senior Team to the John 13 Awards where I was awarded the Rookie of the Year award.

Q: What has been your favorite memory during your time at KeHE?

A: My recent memory was being able to serve with KeHE Cares in Laredo, Texas last year, which was such an amazing experience and showed how KeHE helps and supports people in Laredo. It was such a heart-open experience to connect with people and just put a smile on their faces. It really made me look at my life and find ways I can help more in my own community.

Q: What legacy do you hope to leave behind with KeHE?

A: I just want to be remembered as someone who inspired others to lead and grow in their role or position. We work for such an amazing company, and I want to continue to find ways to help people grow here at KeHE.
