KeHE DIVERSE Trade® Program

We’re stronger together.

Consumers want to know more about the people behind a brand just as much as they care about the ingredients inside the product. With changing demographics, consumers want brands that represent them. Retailers have an opportunity to support the social justice movement by stocking their shelves with products made by diverse suppliers.

KeHE’s DIVERSE Trade program identifies and helps grow certified suppliers who are women, disabled, veteran, LGBTQ+, or owned by historically underrepresented racial or ethnic groups (including Black, Indigenous, Asian, and Hispanic/Latinx individuals) to help them better navigate distribution and remove barriers. While in turn, providing a service to our retailers and increasing opportunities for success.

MISSION & VISION:
Attract, retain, and grow diverse suppliers in the program and ultimately be a mentor to those brands to enable growth.

PROGRAM DETAILS:
To participate in the program, a company must have a current Women’s Business Enterprise Natural Council (WBENC), National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), LGBTQ+, or Veteran Owned certification on file with KeHE. More than 120 suppliers were accepted into the inaugural 2019 class and has grown to over 470 brands today.

Periodically, KeHE inducts new suppliers who meet the criteria to the program with an annual review of new suppliers to award promotional assistance for up to two years. Current KeHE suppliers can submit documentation of their respective third-party certification via KeHE CONNECT to be considered for the program.
